Politics in India take place within the framework of its constitution, because India is a federal parliamentary democratic republic, in which the President of India is the head of state and the Prime Minister of India is the head of the central government.
India follows the dual polity system.
Political science is a social science which deals with systems of governance, and the analysis of political activities, political thoughts, and political behavior.
It deals extensively with the theory and practice of politics which is commonly thought of as determining of the distribution of power and resources.
Political science is the study of government, its policies, the decision making process and the outcomes from those policies and processe.
